Privacy Policy

EthicoIQ respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It complies with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the UAE Federal Data Protection Law.

1. Data We Collect

  • Account data — email, name, hashed password.
  • Portfolio data — symbols, quantities, average cost (only if you choose to import).
  • Usage data — pages visited, signals viewed, alerts created.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser, device identifiers (anonymised).

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and personalise the EthicoIQ service.
  • To deliver signal alerts via email or WhatsApp (paid plans).
  • To improve our models and product analytics.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations.

3. Storage & Security

Your data is stored in encrypted databases hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All transport is TLS-encrypted. We never store payment card details — those flow directly to our PCI-compliant payment processors.

4. Third Parties We Share With

  • Razorpay (India) — payment processing.
  • Stripe (UAE & international) — payment processing.
  • Anthropic — AI commentary generation. We only share signal data, never personal information.

5. India DPDP Act 2023 Compliance

We process personal data under the lawful basis of contract performance and legitimate interest. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data at any time. Email privacy@ethicoiq.com to exercise these rights.

6. UAE Data Protection Law Compliance

For UAE users we maintain a data inventory, conduct DPIAs on significant changes, and notify the UAE Data Office of any notifiable breach within 72 hours.

7. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication (httpOnly), and anonymised analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand product usage. No third-party advertising cookies are set.

8. Your Rights

  • Right to access your personal data.
  • Right to correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to deletion (subject to retention obligations).
  • Right to data portability (export your portfolio).
  • Right to withdraw consent.
