EthicoIQ — Ethical Investment Research Platform. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ethicoiq.com and all associated web and mobile applications.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using EthicoIQ ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. Continued use after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. These Terms apply to all users including free-tier visitors, paid subscribers, Family Office clients, and API access partners.
2. Nature of Service — Not Investment Advice
2.1 What We Are
EthicoIQ is an algorithmic research and information platform. Our technology scans equity markets across India (NSE/BSE), the United Arab Emirates (DFM/ADX), and the United States (NASDAQ/NYSE), plus cryptocurrency, commodity, ETF, and mutual fund markets. We apply a 7-factor quantitative scoring model, ethical screening criteria, and AI-generated commentary to produce research signals for educational purposes.
2.2 What We Are Not
We are not any of the following:
- A SEBI-registered Investment Adviser under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations 2013
- A SEBI-registered Research Analyst under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations 2014
- A Portfolio Manager, Stockbroker, or Mutual Fund Distributor
- A regulated financial adviser under UAE DFSA, SCA, or FSRA frameworks
- A registered investment adviser under the US Investment Advisers Act of 1940
2.3 Not Personalised Advice
All signals, scores, targets, and analysis generated by the Platform are produced by automated algorithms and applied uniformly to all users. This is not personalised advice tailored to your individual financial situation, risk tolerance, investment horizon, or financial goals. Before making any investment decision, you should consult a qualified financial adviser who is appropriately registered and regulated in your jurisdiction.
2.4 Your Responsibility
All investment decisions are made solely and independently by you. You bear full and exclusive responsibility for all investment decisions, their implementation, and their financial outcomes.
3. Ethical Screening Disclaimer
3.1 Our Ethical Framework
EthicoIQ applies an ethical investment screening framework designed to identify companies with clean revenue sources, low financial leverage, transparent governance, and responsible business practices. This framework draws from established ethical investing standards.
3.2 Classification Categories
Stocks are classified into three categories:
- ETHICALLY SCREENED — passes all financial and business conduct screens
- NEEDS REVIEW — mixed signals, requires independent verification
- NON-COMPLIANT — fails one or more ethical screening criteria
3.3 Limitations of Screening
Ethical compliance status changes over time as company financials, business activities, and corporate conduct evolve. Our classifications reflect analysis at a point in time and may not reflect the most current status. You must independently verify the ethical status of any investment using your own research and/or third-party screening tools before investing.
3.4 No Guarantee of Compliance
We make no warranty or representation that any stock, fund, or asset classified as Ethically Screened is compliant with any specific religious, ethical, ESG, or regulatory standard. Investors with specific faith-based or values-based requirements should independently verify compliance with their own advisers and scholars.
4. No Guarantee of Returns
Past signal performance, historical accuracy rates, and any projected or estimated return figures displayed on the Platform do not in any way guarantee, imply, or predict future results. All projected return figures including compound estimates, annual projections, and target price levels are algorithmic illustrations only. They are based on historical pattern analysis under idealised conditions and do not account for:
- Brokerage fees, taxes, and transaction costs
- Market impact and slippage
- Changes in market conditions, liquidity, or volatility
- Corporate events including earnings, mergers, and regulatory actions
- Macroeconomic events, geopolitical developments, or force majeure
Investing in equities, cryptocurrencies, commodities, and other securities involves significant risk including the total loss of invested capital.
5. Data Accuracy and Limitations
5.1 Simulated and Estimated Prices
Price data displayed on the Platform may be simulated, estimated, delayed, or based on last-known values. It is not a substitute for live data from your authorised broker's trading terminal. The Platform does not provide real-time certified data feeds from NSE, BSE, DFM, ADX, NASDAQ, or NYSE. Always verify all price levels, signal levels, and targets on your broker platform before placing any trade.
5.2 Market Hours
Signal data refreshes only during the active trading hours of each respective market. Outside market hours, data shown reflects last known values and is clearly labelled as such.
- NSE/BSE: Monday to Friday, 9:15 am to 3:30 pm IST.
- DFM/ADX: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm GST.
- NASDAQ/NYSE: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm EST.
- Cryptocurrency markets operate 24 hours, 7 days per week.
5.3 Algorithm Limitations
Our 7-factor algorithm is based on quantitative pattern recognition. It does not incorporate insider information, classified data, or any non-public information. It cannot predict unexpected corporate events, regulatory changes, geopolitical developments, or market crashes.
6. Subscription Plans and Payment
6.1 Available Plans

6.2 Billing
Subscriptions are charged monthly or annually as selected at the time of purchase. Annual subscriptions are billed in full at the start of the subscription period and offer a 17% saving compared to monthly billing.
6.3 Auto-Renewal
All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled by you before the renewal date. You will receive a reminder email 7 days before renewal.
6.4 Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You retain access to paid features until the end of that period.
6.5 Refund Policy
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers on Basic and Pro plans. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the initial payment. Family Office and API plans are non-refundable after onboarding has commenced.
6.6 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance of any price increase. Price changes take effect at your next renewal date.
6.7 Payment Processing
- Indian users: payments processed via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking).
- UAE and international users: payments processed via Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
All payment processing is handled by these third-party providers in compliance with applicable regulations including RBI Payment Aggregator Guidelines and UAE Central Bank requirements.
7. Permitted and Prohibited Use
7.1 Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms and your subscription plan, you may:
- Access and use the Platform for your own personal investment research
- View, analyse, and act upon signals for your own investment accounts
- Export and save research data for your own personal records
- Share individual stock signal screenshots for personal, non-commercial discussion
7.2 Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit signal data without written authorisation
- Share your account credentials with other individuals
- Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to extract Platform data
- Represent Platform signals as your own proprietary research or advice
- Use the Platform to manage third-party funds without appropriate regulatory registration
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying algorithm
- Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable securities laws
8. Intellectual Property
All content, algorithms, design, branding, signal methodology, ethical screening database, AI models, and data compilations on this Platform are the intellectual property of EthicoIQ and its licensors. The 7-factor composite scoring algorithm, Kelly Criterion position sizing implementation, Monte Carlo simulation engine, and Ethical Screening classification database are proprietary assets. The name "EthicoIQ", the crescent and compass logo, and associated marks are trademarks of EthicoIQ Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the Platform for the purposes set out in Section 7.1 only. No other rights are granted.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EthicoIQ, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for:
- Any financial losses or trading losses arising from use of or reliance on Platform signals
- Losses arising from incorrect ethical compliance classifications
- Losses arising from delayed, estimated, or inaccurate price data
- Losses arising from algorithm errors or AI-generated analysis
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
Our total liability to you in any circumstance shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by you in the three months preceding the event giving rise to liability. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
10.1 Data We Collect
We collect the email address and name you provide on registration, usage and interaction data within the Platform, and portfolio data you voluntarily enter for your personalised signal feed.
10.2 How We Use Data
Your data is used exclusively to provide your subscription service, send you signal alerts and platform updates, improve our algorithm and user experience, and communicate important service changes.
10.3 Data Security
Portfolio data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We do not store brokerage credentials, trading account numbers, or payment card details.
10.4 Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only with payment processors (Razorpay, Stripe), cloud infrastructure providers (as data processors), and as required by law.
10.5 Applicable Law
We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) for Indian users and UAE Federal Decree Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection for UAE users.
11. Regulatory Compliance
11.1 India
EthicoIQ operates as a research and information service. It is not registered with SEBI as an Investment Adviser, Research Analyst, Portfolio Manager, or Stockbroker. Indian users acknowledge that they are accessing this Platform as a self-directed research tool only.
11.2 UAE
EthicoIQ is not licensed by the DFSA, FSRA, or UAE Securities and Commodities Authority. UAE users acknowledge that this Platform provides research tools only and does not constitute regulated financial advice.
11.3 United States
EthicoIQ is not registered with the SEC as an Investment Adviser. US users acknowledge that Platform content does not constitute investment advice under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. US users access the Platform entirely at their own risk and on the basis of their own independent research.
11.4 Your Compliance Responsibility
You are responsible for complying with all laws applicable to your use of the Platform including securities laws, tax laws, and foreign exchange regulations in your jurisdiction.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India for users resident in India, and the laws of the United Arab Emirates for users resident in the UAE or internationally. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to binding arbitration.
- Arbitration venue: Bangalore, India for Indian users.
- Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) for UAE and international users.
The arbitration shall be conducted in English.
13. Amendments
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to existing subscribers by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any amendment constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept the amended Terms, you must cancel your subscription before the effective date. The current version of these Terms is always available at ethicoiq.com/terms.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Platform in a way that may cause harm to other users or to the Platform. On termination, your licence to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections 8 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 12 (Governing Law) survive termination.
